After we launched the Japanese version, we've got some reviews from several medias. It's all a pleasure that we get some feedback at all even though the content is cruel to us.
Indie Love's review - Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory
This is the 1st review we have received recently. Indie game blog "Indie Love" loved "Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory". :D They mentioned the core mechanic of our game, arts, and especially our theme song, "The Sweet Song". Thanks a lot. We'll do our best to provide more sweet games.
Electric Stories' Review - Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory
And the second. I don't know exactly if this is a media or personal blog. I guess She (I guess her gender from her nickname "madamluna") is a freelancer artist and a game designer. Alright, she reviewed "Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory". The most interesting point of view in there is that she thinks our game's arts and sounds are too 'safe'. Yeah I agree to that point somewhat. Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory is not an easy game. (As you know it's genre is a platformer.) So it'll be better that the game has a more dangerous atmosphere like "Super Meat Boy" I think. But we want to make Sugar Cube sweeter, as an ironic representation. The real world looks sweet, but it is bitter than it looks like, isn't it? And thus the title of the game is "Sugar Cube: BITTER sweet factory'. By the way, check out the review and her great works, too.
darkzero's review - Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory
And the last review for this time. Video game magazine "darkzero" reviewed our game. The point of the review is this: "It’s cute, it’s fun, and it’s original". They mentioned the soundtrack too. Thanks again to our composer Seongyi Yi from Lilisong Music. :D
